PRIVACY POLICY
Effective date: October 2026
The Short Version
BuyItTradeIt does not require an account, does not collect personal information to use any of our tools, and does not sell or share data with advertisers. The tools (Pit Board, Volatility Calculator, Gap Fill Probability, Macro Pulse) run calculations using numbers you type in, and that information stays in your own browser unless this policy says otherwise below.
What We Collect
- Data you type into our tools (account sizes, prices, risk amounts) — processed locally in your browser to perform the calculation. We do not transmit this to our servers or store it.
- Pit Board's daily log — saved using your browser's local storage, on your device only. We cannot see, access, or recover this data; clearing your browser data erases it permanently.
- Standard web server logs — our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically logs basic technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance purposes, consistent with standard web hosting practice. We do not use this to personally identify visitors.
Third-Party Services
Some pages embed third-party content, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- TradingView — our economic calendar widget and paper trading links are provided by TradingView. Interacting with their embedded content is subject to TradingView's Privacy Policy.
- Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) — Macro Pulse displays public economic data from the St. Louis Fed's FRED API. No personal data is sent as part of these requests.
- Affiliate links — some links (e.g. to Take Profit Trader, TradingView) are affiliate links. If you click through and sign up, the destination site's own privacy policy governs any data you provide there.
Cookies
We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking. Embedded third-party widgets (such as TradingView's) may set their own cookies as part of normal widget functionality, governed by their respective privacy policies.
Children's Privacy
BuyItTradeIt is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
